August 10th is National S’mores Day and we are celebrating all summer long with recipes that are little unexpected. While the exact origin of s’mores is unknown, the first recorded recipe dates back to 1927 when it was published in the book Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts and was simply described as “a sandwich of two graham crackers, toasted marshmallow and 1/2 chocolate bar.” Whether you are a s’mores purist, or looking for something a little more fun, we’ve got you covered with the best s’mores recipes of the season!
